Kitchen Before and After

Well it has been over 1 year since I blogged, oops, I guess other things have been a priority. Last I left you we had walls framed, well the good news is we moved in November 2016. We spent the next couple months finishing up inside projects and here a year later are finishing up the outside.  I hope to share some more pictures over the next few weeks.

Here are the kitchen Before and After pictures. These were taken a few weeks after we moved in by our Cabinet Company (Premier Cabinet Design) for their portfolio. Many things have changed (notice the Christmas stockings on the fireplace and Christmas tree did not stay up all year) since the pictures, and I can assure you my kitchen has not been this clean again.

A reminder, this home was a foreclosed home built in 1973. You can read more about it HERE. It was a very solid home with great bones and 4 acres (land needed a ton of work too). It had not been updated since the 70's. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to check and see if the brown appliances worked, but that sweet speaker system did work, but didn't make the cut to stay around. I loved working with Megan from Premier Designs. She worked with my ideas and made not only my dreams for a white kitchen come true, but also was so thoughtful in making sure it functioned well too!

So goodbye to the 70's.....

Our granite was the hardest decision as I originally wanted white but couldn't find a white I liked, I loved the look of black but heard it wasn't practical for kids. That is until I found the "leathered" or "brushed" granite that has texture and I love it!
